Poker Hand Rankings Rules

Poker is a betting card game that is famous worldwide. In this game, a dealer deals the cards from a standard deck of 52 cards. Before the cards are dealt, the players are asked to place blind bets. Then the action starts. Two cards are dealt to each player in the first round. The cards are dealt in clockwise direction. These cards face down and are known as the hole cards. The players decide their strategy after looking at their cards, and place their bets. The betting amount is kept in a pot and the player having the best hand wins the pot. The Standard Poker Rule That Include -

1. A person has three choices during his betting turn. He can opt for call, fold and raise. Call means placing a bet equal to the last bet. Raise means raising the value of bet by twice and fold means deciding not to bet. If the player decides to fold, he loses his entire bet amount and he is out of the game for that round.
2. To decide the winner, the poker hand rating system is used. According to the poker rule, the different hands in the increasing order of their rating are one pair, two pair, three of a kind, straight, flush, full house, four-of-a-kind, straight flush, and Royal flush. This means that the Royal flush has the highest rating and one pair has the least. If there are two or more players that have a Royal flush, there is a tie. This is because in poker the ratings are based on the value of the cards and their combinations. No value is given to the suits. In the case of Royal flush, a player gets ten, jack, queen, king, and ace of identical suit. If another player also gets similar combination of different suit, then both are the winners and the pot amount is distributed equally between them.

According to the rules of poker, if any two players get same type of winning hand, for example, two players get the hand of three of a kind, then the value of the triplets is checked. A player who has triplets of high value wins. If the triplets are also of the same value, then the value of the highest odd card of both the players is compared. The one whose highest odd card has higher value than others wins. In the same manner, the winner is decided, if the two players get one pair, two pair, four-of-a-kind, and so on.

3. According to the poker rule, if none of the player has a winning hand, then the winner is decided by comparing the value of the highest card of each player. The player who has a card of the highest value wins the bet. Such types of hand that do not qualify for the winning hand are known as high hand.
